The Certificate in Liberal Arts normally takes one semester of full-time study or equivalent part-time study. Students completing the Certificate choose 40 cp (four units) from a wide range of Arts disciplines, subject to campus availability. For the discipline areas available, refer to the ACU Bachelor of Arts Course Rules (Arts Sequences).The Certificate is a non-award course.

Attendance: Face-to-face and/or via video conference, at an ACU campus or another location.

Multi-mode: A combination of Online and Attendance (including examinations, practicums, residentials, etc.).

Online: Fully online (including assessments).

All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a full-time study load of 40 credit points (normally 4 units) per semester.

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • the number of units studied per semester;
  • the choice of major or specialisation; and
  • elective units.

The University reviews fees annually.

Alternate entry provisions apply to students accepted through the Clemente Australia program.

Pathways to further study

A UniAccess-Australia student who successfully completes four units specified by a UniAccess program may either leave with a Certificate qualification and/or make a direct application to ACU, against specified criteria, for a place in the Bachelor of Arts (or other Commonwealth-supported courses). All applications will be considered on the basis of academic merit.
