Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent
The unit enables you to understand the challenges facing business operations in a global business environment, where effective managers require competency in the areas of the international operating environment (especially the impact of culture), traditional management functions and managing individuals. In this unit, you will develop the required knowledge for dealing with the challenges of the changing international business environment by learning various strategies to support effective decision-making. You will also develop techniques to critically analyse theories of international trade and investment relevant to the international business environment, and strategies to manage people and operations at a global level. This knowledge will eventually enable you to use appropriate business strategies in analysing the potential risks and opportunities of doing business in a global market.
