Achieving sustainable organisational outcomes requires the effective management of diversity and conflict resulting from complex interactions between staff, customers and stakeholders in an increasingly globalised world. If you are to be able to do this, you will need knowledge and understanding of different types of diversity, the nature of conflict and the interconnections between diversity, culture and conflict. In this capstone unit, you will integrate the knowledge and skills that you have developed across your program of study to the design of exemplary diversity management practices which incorporate the appropriate management of conflict as they relate to both the workplace and the wider society. a form of corporate social responsibility. You will develop your knowledge of demographic, cultural, social and organisational diversity, valuing diversity, the nature of conflict and its resolution and the principles, strategies and benefits of managing diversity and conflict and the contribution to corporate social responsibility.
The aim of this unit is to provide knowledge and understanding of diversity and conflict within business and not for profit organisations and to develop the understanding and skills necessary to analyse the problems and opportunities created through diversity and conflict and to generate practical solutions to achieve sustainable business outcomes.
